Query on Bonus and Overtime pay - HSMP (Tier1) extention

Post by Nagu » Tue Jan 19, 2010 2:28 pm

Hi All,

Can i claim the bonus and Overtime pay amount under "Earnings" category of HSMP (Tier1) extention as they are included in my payslips and also reflected the netpay in my bank statements?

Thanks,
Nagu

You can claim both if they are included in your Payslip and/or the employer had a contractual obligation to pay these monies.

Yes, that will be counted as earnings.

Make a table in cover letter with 5 columns each dedicated to Date of payslip, gross amount, netamount, date net transferred to bank, amount tranfered to bank account. This will give easy idea to case worker and also if he/she needs to check in bank statements , mentioning date will make it easier.

I have my ILR since march 2013, previously based on HSMP+Tier1 ext. All views are my own, am not a professional on immigration matters.

Thanks for update.

IS it required to send teh Employer contract to support the contract obligations?

Do i need to mention the splitup in the covering letter?

have a look at the template in this post:

an earnings explanation sheet is not mandatory but I believe almost everyone submits one. gross/net split is useful. bonus & overtime pay split usually not as it is not shown seperately on your employer payslip. But then again yours might do so.

Nagu.. do not worry about the salary table in cover letter if you payslips are ORIGINALS n Net salary matches exactly with bankstatements ..

keep it straight n simple
