.1. So is my understanding right for this question , that even though I am still on ILR and currently not British Citizen and not applying for Naturalization, I am not consider as my wife dependent for her Naturalization application in the context of UK immigration ?
Correct
.2. Also I am suppose to give details of 2 referees i.e. One must be a British citizen, over 25 years old, And other must be a professional person for e.g. Manager or Director of Limited Company. So can we give details of both of this referees in any order on application form ? or it has to be in specific order i.e. professional person first?
makes no difference as long as the referees are suitable.
Please help me with this queries.
Many Thanks.

b) You need to submit the signed referee form. Nothing is sent to them by UKVI. They should sign ideally before the date of application.
c) Ignore about writing on back of photo. It is from the paper applicairon days.
d) it doesn't matter. Only ONE referee needs to be a professional on the list. The other one must be British and over 25 years of age. Both must be of good character.
e) Just manager is fine.
f) Nothing.
Have you read the guidance notes at all??

RAJ007 wrote: ↑Fri Nov 14, 2025 8:51 pmHi Everyone,
I have a couple of queries related to referee professions and the Referee Declaration Form for naturalisation application:
1. Referee signature date on the Declaration Form:
What is the guidance on the signed date on Referee Declaration Form, when referees sign the form?
(a) Should the signature date on Referee Declaration Form be before I submit application? OR
(b) Should it be after the application is submitted? OR
(c) Does the timing(Date) actually matter?
As long as it is within a month or so of the application date, it shouldn't matter
2. First referee - Compliance Manager:
My first referee is a Compliance Manager at Limited/Vat Registered Company. I believe this falls under the following acceptable professions for professional standing:
(a) Manager or personnel officer (of a limited company)
(b) Director, manager or personnel officer of a VAT registered company
Can someone please confirm this is acceptable as a professional referee? Yes
(Reference: Acceptable professions list Link :
https://assets.publishing.service.gov.u ... als_v4.pdf
)
3. Second referee - Senior Software Engineer:
My second referee is a Senior Software Engineer, British citizen, and over 25 years old. I understand that being a British citizen and over 25 meets the requirement for the second referee. Can someone please confirm this is acceptable?
4. Second referee being software engineer, I believe also falls under acceptable profession for professional standing i.e. engineer (with professional qualifications).
Could someone please confirm this is also acceptable as a professional referee? No unless friend is a chartered engineer.
Please help me with this queries.
Thank you in advance for your help!

Yes, will submit all the page of the passport to prove continues 5 years period.
My concern is, as we are Non EEA national, and for every entry we used get our passport stamped at Heathrow.
But for our last holiday this May, we had our biometric taken to check our Identity on arrival at Heathrow immigration, but Passport did not go stamped as they don't stamp the passport anymore on arrival.
So just last entry in missing in the passport. So will this cause any issue. ?
Not an issue they can validate against their dabatase - your passport was scanned on arrival.
We are also going to submit last 5 years council tax bill for this, and also my wife employment reference letter and also last 6 months Pay slip and last year P60.
These are not required, your passports are sufficient as advised.
So will that be enough, or will also need to submit last trip flight E-Ticket and Boarding Pass as well ?
No need for this, not required. Please don't overthink this.
Please do let me know on this.
Many Thanks
Raj
I noticed they don't stamp people on ILR/Settled Status at all. We have entered the UK via many different checkpoints this year (Gatwick/Edinburgh airports, Newhaven/Dover/Harwich ports, Eurostar Paris train station) - only passport scan and no stampingRAJ007 wrote: ↑Mon Nov 17, 2025 9:39 pm
