Query on ILR

Hello Team,
I have a question regarding my eligibility to apply for ILR, in the 5 years skilled worker route.

I received notification on 24th June 2021 that my first skilled worker Visa application was successful.

When I received the BRP card, the issue date was 06th July 2021.

Current eVisa expiry date is 18th June 2026. The end date of 18th June, isn't covering the total 5 years period.

Am I eligible to apply for ILR? if yes, when is the earliest date that I can submit the ILR application?

Any suggestion is very much appreciated.

Forgot to mention, I applied the "Skilled Worker" visa from within the UK (i.e. switch from another visa).

For Skilled Worker - Change of Employment, my Application was submitted - on 24th May 2021.
Biometric Appointment completed - on 22nd June 2021
Notification received from Home Office confirming my application had been successful - on 24th June 2021
BRP received by post on 12th July 2021, and it had date of issue as 06th July 2021

Benefitting from the Covid concession you're eligible for ILR on 24th May 2021 + 5 years - 28 days. The eligibility is based on the date UKVI decides on the ILR application.

1. You submit the application
2. Enrol biometrics
3. Ensure UKVI decision occurs in a date within the eligibility period (on 24th May 2021 + 5 years - 28 days and onwards)

EDIT: this suggests that you already had a Skilled Worker visa before 24th May 2021?

In any case, you're already eligible for ILR as of today.

and, Apologies, my previous statement was misleading...

"Skilled Worker - Change of Employment" was when I was in U.K. and my employment changed from "Tier 2 - ICT" to "Skilled Worker"...the "Skilled Worker" Application was submitted on 24th May 2021.

As per your suggestion, (24th May 2021 + 5 years - 28 days) comes to "26 April 2026".

Are you saying, as of today the 09th May 2026, I am already eligible to submit the ILR application?

You've been eligible for ILR since April as you pointed out.
