My spouse and myself stay in the UK and we have a Tier 2 and Tier 2 dependant visa respectively. I plan to switch our visas to the Tier 1 and Tier 1 dependent respectively.
My wife is expected to deliver a baby in the UK in first week of August. Now the baby too will need a visa. My question is that if I wait till August to apply for Tier 1, can I directly apply for myself, wife and baby together for the Tier 1?
My doubt is whether it is fine to apply for Tier 1 switching application for the baby from within the UK even though the baby will not have any existing visa?
Also, is it the correct strategy to wait until August before applying for Tier 1 for all 3 people together so that the baby's visa cost will be lesser (dependent alongwith main applicant) rather than apply for myself and wife now and then for the baby later?
