Query regarding visa application after HSMP approval

Hi All,
Once you get a HSMP approval and when you are applying for your VISA I understand that we got to use the VAF1-Non-settlement form. In the VAF1-Non-settlement form there is a column (Section 6) where you need to provide your financial details.
Specifially 6.10 How much money is available to you for your stay?
1. To support the money declared here do we have to show our bank statements and other supporting documents if any.
2. All those who got their HSMP Visa stamped, what is the ideal amount to be declared here?
3. Since we had already sent our bank statements to the HSMP team to get an approval, is it necessary to provide the statements again.

The reason I am asking these questions are because I am planning to buy a house soon and I would need some initial investments.

yes you need to show bank statements even though yu sent them to HSMP team already. i suppose there could be a number of reasons for this, the first and probably the most important one being that these are two different dept. with the visa department being the one with the last say on who comes into the country. also think of it this way, i apply for HSMP today and it will only be 8 months if not more b4 the approval and so at that time that you actually apply for EC the statements would have "expired" so this is a good chance of just making sure that your statements are a true account of the state of affairs of your finances, also people at embassies are better at checking whether they are actually fake or genuine.
the amount depends on your circumstances, you wont need a huge amount of money if say you already have a job offer and have secured accommodation, or are single etc. where as if you are travelling with your family and have not yet found a job you might need more cash
