Question about Gatwick and the Ancestry Visa

Post by jaimeelaxton » Thu Dec 15, 2011 7:04 pm

Hi there, I've been looking everywhere for answers to this question.
I have a UK Ancestry Visa, I'm from Canada, and I'll be flying into Gatwick. I didn't know where to post this, so I figured I'd give it a shot and try here.

When I go through customs, what kind of questions will they ask me? Do I need to bring any other information with me, besides the address where I'm staying? Basically, what do I need to be prepared for.

Did you pack your own bags?

Do you intend to work?

How did you qualify for UK Ancestry?

You will be fine. No grilling, unless you didn't pack your own bags and are carrying something for a friend.
