Hi!
I am a Filipina and recently married to a Dutch guy living and working in Ireland for a little over a year now. I hope to apply for a visa this february to join him in Ireland.
our situation is this:
1. he was previously employed with IBM in dublin, but IBM moved their office to greenock scotland last november. they were given options to get transferred, or otherwise, get paid and end their contract.
2. he opted not to go to greenock, and preferred to be paid at the end of his contract last november.
3. he was on approved vacation leave from the first week of november until the end of his contract and that was his last payslip - with the bonus option given to him.
4. since first week of november, he was already here in the philippines for our wedding, and was on vacation until december.
5. he started his new contract with a new company first week of january this year, as a permanent employee.
my question is this: would it be a problem if we present his January 2008 payslip, together with his October - November 2007 payslips, in compliance with the 3 months payslips required in visa application? the requirement said, "consecutive" payslips, but he was on vacation last december with me, because his new contract would only start in january.
he has savings accounts both in dublin and in holland though, and some stock certificates in holland to further evidence his financial capacity.
i am very worried about this, as i don't want to take chances. but on the other hand, i don't want to wait much longer, or else the irish govt might impose some new immigration laws anytime.
please help, anybody who has been in the same situation us ours.
thank you very much!
