Hi, just wanted some advice from re fiancee visas. I am a UK born male, 35 years old. I am previously married with 3 kids but going through a divorce at the moment, which should be finalised in the next 2-3 months. I want to marry again from Pakistan and have a girl that I have been seeing there for the last 2 years approx. She has visited the UK twice before on visitor visas and has returned on time both times. She is 25 and was previously married to a UK boy but did not apply to come here for residence and got a divorce throught the Azad Kashmir courts and has a decree absolute. I can't go to Pakistan to marry her as my father is there and he does not approve and this will cause problems. My only option seems to be a fiancee visa. I work full time, earning £40k per year, and have £3500 in savings with my current account also showing about £3000 balance each month. I have a 2 bedroom house which will meet the accomodation needs. I can show photos of us together and provide phone records showing daily contact. I meet all the criteria as far as I can see. I am going to Pakistan in September but don't think my decree absolute will be through by then. If my NISI is through can we apply for the fiancee visa or must we have the ABSOLUTE 1st in hand? Also, do my kids from my previous marriage have any bearing? I don't pay any maintainence as such but give them money as when they need it. Does the ECO take any fixed amount out of my wage to maintain previous kids? Do I need a solicitor to prepare the paperwork? I am confident of submitting myself but worried they may refuse for any reason. Thanks for the advice. Thanks
