Question on Fund Maintenance

Post by MaheshTripathi » Mon Apr 06, 2009 11:36 am

Hi,
I am looking to apply for a Tier 1 General Migrant Visa from Hyderabad, India. Even though the criteria has changed but I qualify on the changed criteria as well.
However, I have a question on the Funds Maintenance part. I was working in Switzerland for most part of the last year and have a bank account there. I am planning to show the balance in that account as Funds. The amount of funds is over the minimum required amount. Though I get the bank statement every month but the bank has refused to provide a letter confirming the minimum amount as required for the Visa Application citing Swiss Banking secrecy laws.
I want to know if the Bank Statements would suffice or is there a high probability of the application getting rejected because of the letter not issued by the bank in which case I will have to transfer the funds to India and then wait for 3 months before applying.

Mahesh.. if you could get the Bankstatements in the perfect format as required by HO n in the Guidelines... you are more than ready to apply.. we got the visa's approved without bank letters atleast i got n many.. so dont worry n dont waste your time to chase those guys as they will stict to their rules n if even they give the letter it will not be in the format wat the HO wants.. goodluck
