Question needed answering about "Balanced Migration&quo

Post by GSOtodd » Tue Jun 02, 2009 11:30 pm

Do you think the government will adopt Frank Field's proposal to break the link between Tier one and two and permanent residence? If they do, do you think this will be retrospective and apply to people who are going to get their ILR in a year and a half. I'm on a work permit and will very soon get my WP extended to take me my five year period.

Whatever happens, do you think the Transitional arrangments will keep me safe from any other changes?

GSOtodd,

Very difficult to answer your questions but anything is possible. Sorry for sounding sarcastic, but with all the changes in rules and criteria, hopefully things may be clear in another 4 - 5 years time.

Regards,
