Question regarding salary proof in bank statement

Post by nbarman » Mon Oct 08, 2007 8:32 pm

Hi All,

I am planning to apply for HSMP in the month of Dec 2007. But I have an issue with the salary proof. I am a Software Engineer. I worked for a company from Aug 2004 till March 2007. My salary got credited in my bank account. In April I joined a new company (start up) and they are paying me the salary in checks. I have deposited the checks in my bank accounts (I have two accounts and i have submitted some of the checks in account1 and others in account 2). I can show bank statement proof for the check submission in my accounts. Apart from these I can provide my salary slips with office seal and sign. I am bit worried if is it must for me to show the salary credit in my bank account or not. Can this be a reason for refusal of HSMP? Please advice. Thanks in advance.

Note: All my salary checks are of same amount.

Regards

No, it will not be enough. Get a letter from the employer as well.

Question regarding salary proof in bank statement

Post by nbarman » Tue Oct 09, 2007 6:19 pm

Hi Victoria,

Thanks for your prompt reply. I still have a question for you. Can you please let me know what should be the content of the letter from my employer? Should it contain a statement that I am employed with them and they are paying me my salary by check for so and so period of time? Should this be enough or something else should be added?

Also, whom should this letter be addressed to? Is it enough if the letter is written as "to whoever it may concern"? I am asking you this because if i tell my employer the reason, then they might not provide me the same. I will have to give them some other reason for obtaining the letter.

Please advice. Thanks again.
