Hello all,
Here is my situation, seniors please guide if this is possible:
my wife has amount X as FD(in Indian Post Office) on her name, which now can be liquidated anytime
It does not have my name as joint holder, it was kept before marriage. Her mother is a second nominee..
I have some money Y in my account since 16th APR
now X+Y comes to 2800 GBP (maintenance fund for my visa)
And i am not applying visa for my wife now...
Can i use my wife's FD as maintenance fund evidence and apply for my visa on 16th itself?
Can you please share your thoughts on this?
Thanks in advance
KPC

You can only use accounts with your name on it.
Goodluck.

How about putting your name on the other account and then get a letter from bank confirming you're the joint account holder and you had this much amount in the bank for last 3 months?
I have never tried it and never heard anyone else trying it but it's just my demonic brain coming up with ideas lol
Goodluck.

Most of the times SPECIFICALLY in india ... maintainance funds do get checked .... i would not take that risk.
also again ... once again ... quota will not get over within days .. it will take ATLEAST couple of months. .. so take it easy and don't risk your application ..... once you are rejected .. all your life you will have to mention for ANY country visa (as there is always a question on whether visa was rejected for any country) ... take it easy .. take a deep breath and do it properly and legally.
