Questions from May HSMP Applicant

Hi,

I'm new to this, so please forgive me!

My app should have arrived in England on May 19th and I haven't heard anything from them yet. How long does it take?

My concern is aren't they doing away with the current HSMP as of June 1st? (maybe I'm confused). Which date do they use in determining when to consider you for the old HSMP guidelines? For ex: do they use the date of receipt, or date you signed the app, or date it was posted, etc?

If anyone knows anything about the June changes, please let me know. I'm just freaking out thinking they may not "receive" my app until after June begins and I'm not sure what that means for me.

1. If you have sent the application by courier, check with the company as to when it was delivered at the destination.

2. If you have requested payment through credit / debit card, check with your card provider / bank and find out if a charge has been made. If so, give it a few days and you should receive your reference number through post.

3. If you don't receive a letter from BIA advising you of your HSMP reference number (let's say 10 working days from the date of payment clearance), send them an email.

4. In case of HSMP, the date of receipt is taken as the date of application.

There is no information from BIA as yet regarding closure of HSMP scheme in countries other than UK and India.
