Questions on home office application?

Post by Scotishman123 » Mon Apr 27, 2026 2:45 pm

Immigration - Home Office application

1) I am applying for ILR. I removed additional applicants (My two children) as it was asking for fees for them when it shouldnt as they were born in britain, Now im confused as its not asking for my childrens details for information purposes. For example i have my previous application saved from before and it asked previously for non-applying children but nothing in this application for ILR. Will it not ask for that?

2) Also My wife has a degree from Pakistan from an english speaking university that allows her to qualify for the English language requirements, as in she has a NARIC certificate from before that confirms she can speak english and meets the requirements, in the for for ILR it asks "Have you provided evidence of your english language?" I have put YES, the next question it asks "Have you passed an approved english test?" I have said NO as she hasnt but meets the requiments for english as above, have i accuratley answered NO for this question?

3) Finally I have a statutory declartation for my name change which is fine, however the application asks if i have been known as any other names? The answer is yes as my middle name has changed but dont have a deed poll or any paper to confirm this, my name on all legal documents is fine at the moment and have a statutory declaration to say so but no statutory declaration for my previous middle name change, what do i do?

1. It is not that important. Just add a cover letter that you intend to apply for registration for children

2. The answers are ok

3. You do not need to do anything. There is no need to send any document for this
