Questions

Post by guest 000 » Mon Jul 19, 2004 1:05 pm

1) I attached a letter in my application requesting the HSMP Team to forward my approval letter and documents to a cousin's in England. Should I re-write them to remind them of this as I do not want the package to be posted thru regular mail to my country as the mail system is not reliable.

2) I have noticed forum users post dating their entry visas. Does the first year of the HSMP commence from the date stamped on the entry visa or from the date on your approval letter.

thank You

Here are your answers

1). Phone HSMP team and tell them that you would not like your documents to be sent by ordinary mail (you will have to arrange for a courrier) - although we have noticed recently that HO send approval letters to third party addresses in the UK

2). Validity of your Visa starts as soon as ppt is stamped - that is when the 1 year clock starts ticking

Chess,

You sure HO will send even the approval letter to a third party???? So far I was under the impression that they will send the documents but not the letter itself.

If what you are saying is true, I definitely would like to try my luck by requesting them to send my entire packet to an address in UK.

Awaiting your reply.

I am not sure - in some instances HO refused..in other they forwarded original docs to third party address and decision letter was sent to applicant...

...dont know what the procedure is these days - try phoning them

Good Luck
