Well I know many of you will think badly of me... I know most of you are waiting eagerly for your eea2 applications to come back.
I guess because my family is in the states I don't have the money to travel so much... and I have a newborn son, and friends here. Well ok also I was just so anxious something bad would happen. But after getting my eea family permit after a 2 month wait, I waited 9 months before applying for the eea2. How will this affect any further applications I may make? My wife and I do plan to move to poland sometime in the future, but while I'm here I would like to formalize my position here.
My second question has to do with my wife's father. He is of course a polish national, but has lived in germany for around 10 years, married to a german woman for around 6 years. Recently he caught (not sure if that's the word you use) meningitis, and is in a coma. It's quite sad, I guess he is sometimes responsive, though he can't talk, but it's difficult to know, because he is in some clinic in rural germany, and it is very difficult for my wife (here) or her family (in poland) to visit him.
I was thinking, maybe it's possible for him to come here, in a similar way that I did? He is a family member of a treaty-rights-excersizing eea national. But I don't know, because for sure he would be a burden. I mean he can't really move or talk, so he certainly couldn't work for a living, and would need to use the NHS.
I guess from talking to my wife, I think it could help him if he was around people he knew more often, rather than dying slowly in a hospital full of strangers. Also our son does not know him, and our daughter only briefly... even from a hospital bed, it would be nice for them to have some relationship with their grandfather.
Any help/advice/etc. would be great, thanks.
