I really need some help and advice please.

Please can anyone help me. I am British, born and bred. My husband is from Chile and holds a Chilean passport but lives in Argentina. We married in Chile in July 2008 and lived together there, in Argentina and Spain until November 2009 when my husband went to help his mum in Argentina and I returned to the UK to get somewhere to live and get employment.
Because of the economic climate in the UK I have been unable to get a job and have been getting income based JSA. This has had a detrimental effect on my mental health and recently have been signed off and transferred to ESA. I also claimed for DLA but as yet have not heard anything. The stress of all this is horrendous hence the reason my mental health has deteriorated to such a degree I am unable to work.
I have read a great deal on the forums about spouse visas and family permits. I have obtained housing for us (council) but I do not know how I am going to meet the criteria to support my husband until he finds works. It seems I am in a catch 22 situation. Does anyone know if there is anything I can do, are there compassionate grounds or anything? Shall I consult an immigration specialist? Please help I don't know where to turn.

How long were you living in Spain for and what were your activities there?

We lived together in Spain for 6 months, my husband left there in November and I left in December. I was working there but he was not.

Your husband should apply at his nearest British mission for an EEA Family Permit, as the family member of a qualifying person resident in the UK.

OK thanks, but what do I do about the no job etc. I am on limited income and we have no savings, as he will have no access to public funds etc??
