Reference Photos

Hi, I am confused regarding reference letters. It says a photo with the signature and DOB/name on the back needs to be attached and the form to be signed. But if now if the forms are to be scanned, what is the purpose of this?

Do you still need a photo to be attached to the letter before scanning the document and uploading? or can we leave the photo section blank? Or can we attach a digital photo to the form?

regards

It's a legacy form pen and paper days. A digital photo is absolutely OK paste it on the form digitally, just make sure that the signature isn't typed but is consistent with the signature appearing on the passport (picture of signature is fine).
