Refrees for child citizenship

Post by Janjua06 » Wed Dec 17, 2025 10:39 pm

Sorry i was unable to start new topic, moderators please move to the relevant thread if needed.

Hi All, Thankyou for the advice on my recent ILR application, I now want to apply for my child citizenship as he was born here during my skilled worker visa, as per gov website i can apply for his citizenship but they are asking for british refrees with "at least one refree must have dealt with the child in professional manner or if not they must provide documents to prove they tried to do so" the child is 2 year old and is not in school etc yet, what can be the best solution for this what sort of refree we are actually looking for or we can just use any british refee? Please guide on this

This is a well known issue, you can use a family friend in a recognised profession. What is the other parent's immigration status?
