REFUSED FLR(M) - REASON - OVERSTAYED FIANCE VISA

Firstly, I would like to apologise if I have posted this in the incorrect area!

Anyway...a brief history:

I am a UK citizen born and raised in the UK and my now wife is from Nepal.

Fiance visa granted August 14th 2009. Arrived in the UK August 28th 2009.

Married Feb 12th 2010 in a UK Registry office.

Fiance/marriage visa ended 14th Feb 2010 (Valentines day...maybe a sick joke!)

Due to preperation of FLR(M) application was received by UKBA (United Kingdom Border Agency) on 4th March 2010.

Payment taken 6th March 2010.

Biometrics taken 29th March 2010.

Documents and Refusal letter returned 8th May 2010.

Reason for refusal: Application was made after the 6 months was completed.

Now...I have re-read the terms of the visa and made a grave error in time scales and didn't realise there would be a problem as long as we got married in the initial 6 months. The refusal letter is stating 'no grounds for appeal' and for her to return to Nepal and apply for a spouse visa from there.

Before we accept this and jump on the next plane back to Nepal at great cost.... I wanted to discover if we had any grounds upon which to have the application re-considered because my wife has upcoming medical exams to be able to practice here after almost a year complying to the Fiance visa regulations. (unable to work).

Having spent all day researching our plight I came accross the IMMIGRATION ADVISORY SERVICE. Has anyone used this and has it been helpfull? What is the best way to begin our contact with them?

I hope that this 'topic' can benefit others in a similar situation aswell as our own.

Any suggestions will be greatfully accepted....and unlike some other posts will be updated as and when I get some official news.

No I'm afraid a trip home is required - UKBA is not very tolerant are they!?

It's never possible to switch incountry from overstayer which is technically the situation here.

Maybe I'm clutching at straws...but found this on this site:
