REFUSED - review or new application?

Post by vora » Thu May 17, 2007 10:10 pm

Hi All,
i have sent my application on 23rd April and recieved the respoce today. I claimed the points for earnings evidence before my full time study.

my application is refused because,
"we could not verify the evidence provided for the past earnings.."

I have claimed 85 points, but they have awarded me 0, because of this.
Now what actually happened, they called to confirm from my company and my HR manager (whose name i have provided for verification) was not in the office. But they have spoken to someone else, who confirmed that i was working with them , but he was not sure about my salary.

Later on the same day, a guy called again and asked the receptionist that he want to apply for the job for same position which i used to work on. Receptionist said, we do not hire any marketing guys. He insisted that one of his friend has worked for the same company. He probably assumed that i have never worked with them. This was the same guy who earlier called to ask about me.

Overall, they didnt talk to my HR manager, who was the actual person, and yet they refused my application.

Please advise me that, should i request a review or re-apply with the all the same documents?

appeal, no need to re-apply. draw attention to the information you provided on ur earnings and also advise them to call your hr manager again and also provide them with contact number for other HR staff (how many people are u your HR?)

you can also tell the HR manager to disclose your detailed salary to
other hr staff, maybe via email that they can quickly refer to if called, and give them permission to release the information to anybody who called.

Thanks makon for your reply.

HR team consists of 2 people but actually the HR manager is the person who manages all this. You can say that he is the only one who can respond to all sorts of queries, other than some of my other colleagues who are in different department.

Is it possible to provide the cell number for my HR manager as well, if i go for review? i'm wondering they might consider it as an additional evidence.
