Dear All,
I had submitted application for UK Tier 1 (General) visa on 23rd December 2009.
Today I received all my documents. However my visa application was refused. The reason given for refusal was that the the bank statements that I submitted as a proof for maintenance funds had no bank logo on it. I agree that the bank logo was missing on the bank statements but the bank statement that I submitted is authentic and stamped and atteested by ICICI Bank, Pune India.
As far as my understanding goes i need to go for admin review process.
Please help me in filling up the "Admin review request form". What should I mention in the form regarding the question that says "why you think a mistake was made?"
Please revert back at the earliet if you all have faced such issues in the past. urgent help required.
Regards
Rana

Does the
policy guidance state that the bank logo on the statement is mandatory?? Read para 201.
If it does (yes) and you submitted ones without the logo then I am afraid the caseworker made the right decision! So, will an admin. review help?

Thanks for the reply.
Please let me know if in my case an admin review will help.
Also let me know if there is any other to appeal.

Was the stamp on all pages that you submitted? If not then that is a mistake

The reason given for refusal was that the the bank statements that I submitted as a proof for maintenance funds had no bank logo on it.
If the only reason is as above, then look into p-36 of thepolicy guidance ,
Alternatively an electronic bank statement bearing the official stamp of the bank in question will be accepted. This stamp should appear on every page of the statement.
Following the answer to your question why you think a mistake was made? is that it is not a mistake at all and the document that you submitted is as per guidance

Thanks for the reply.
The bank statements that I submitted were not electronic statements. The bank statements were issued on request from the bank branch directly. However the bank logo was missing on the statements. But there was official bank stamp on every page of the statement.
Please let me know what are the chances of the decision being overturn after the admin review and issue entry clearance.
Thanks & Regards

How can you expect the decision to be reversed when the evidence(s) submitted are not in line with what the policy document says??
But yes, if the error is on the part of the caseworker and not from your end .. and that you can prove the same .... go for review without delay.
