Reg: ILR rejection, Please help

Dear All,
My ILR application is rejected, could you please help me...

Here are the details:
I have entered the UK on 26th May 2004 with valid entry clearance as a work permit holder until 13 May 2005. On 26 May 2005 company applied for leave to remain in the UK as a work permit holder which was granted on 13 June 2005. therefore My ILR was rejected based on the grounds of no valid to remain in the UK from 14th May 2005 to 26th May 2005.
Apart from this, employee extension approval letter dated on 12th May 2005 and I am not aware of this when company employeer submitted the my application for leave to remain. As per the immigration dept it was 26th May 2005.

I have got option to for Appeal, Please can any one suggest me how do I proceed?

thing is there is 10 days of difference b/w Applying for FLR & Visa expired...
Which infact I was not aware of this issue till the HO communicated to me...
As per my ex employer, he has recieved the extension form on 13th May 2005 whiich was my visa getting expired on that day and from 14th May 2005 to 25 th May is gap for applying FLR.. How can justify it is not issue because extension approaval letter was recived on 13 th May and same day or next we can n't submit the paper.
as per ho I was working in the company with out valid leave to remain... I am not sure how to justify that it is not my issue and company has tot taken care of these kind of issues because company only sponsered the WP for me
