Regarding Bank statement

Post by invisibleman » Fri Mar 02, 2007 5:32 pm

Hello,
I hold my salary account with ICICI Bank. As a proof of Income, should I submit separate bank statements for each month in order to show the net salary that I have received for each month? Is it OK if I submit all the monthly bank statements (hard copies, being sent to my home) that I receive? These monthly statements does not have any stamp of ICICI. However they do bear a scanned signature of authorized person from ICICI. Should those statements be attested by ICICI Official?

Or do you suggest me to take a consolidated statement of my bank account since an year and submit that document?

While I am having most of the statements that I receive for each month to my home address, since last year, 2 statements are missing. So, can I submit the print outs of soft copies that I receive each month (attested by ICICI person)?

Gurus, please suggest me the best way to show my bank statement.
Thanks in advance!!

I'm not a Guru in this but have gone through same situation....

In my opinion, you should get a consolidated copy for this duration. Ideally every page of this statement should be signed+stamped by authorized bank officer.
Online prints are valid if and only if you get these verified (sign+stamped) by bank officer

If your statements are on ICICI bank letterheaded paper, that should be sufficient, I suppose.

If the Bank Statement is on the Bank's offcial stationery i.e. with Bank logo, and watermark printed on it should do.

I had the same problem. For the missing statements I visited ICICI branch and took the statement for that period. For the rest of the period I have sent the statements that I was receiving monthly from the bank. My application got approved.

Thanks for your reply.
How did they give the missing statement? I mean did they give on the same kind of paper that you receive every month? To me they have issued the statement printed by a dot matrix printer on an ICICI stationary paper, when I went to ICICI Bank and requested for a statement. To be frank that statement is not at all legible to read, unlike the statement that we receive everymonth. Hence I requested the customer care to send the consolidated statement since last 1 year. But my doubt is, once I receive that statement, should I get a stamp and signature from ICICI, as the bank statement that I am going to receive will have a signature that is scanned and printed, instead of the original signature and stamp. Please suggest. Thanks.
