Regarding COS start/end date and work start/end date

Post by kumar114 » Mon Feb 27, 2017 9:57 pm

Hi,
Previously got Tier 2 (General)VISA in July 2014 till July 2017 (3 years)
Applying for extension in coming March.

Suppose, say I want to apply in March 15, then what will be the start date and end date on COS?

Also, what about the work end and start date.

I want to extend for 3 years.
Same job/same company

kind regards
kumar

Thank you very much iworker.
I have few more questions. Hope you don't mind.
1. What about the COS start date and end date? Is it 15 march to 15 June?
2. Can't my work start date be 16 march 2017 - 15 march 2010, given that cos is generated on 15 march?
3. Once the COS is generated, does it has to be get approved from HO. or I can simply apply for my extension once COS is created/generated?

Kind regards
Kumar

1. previous reply was about cos start date
2. they can be if u want
3. generates automatically, straightaway.

Cos start date can be anything from today to 3 months in future. it cant be in past.
end date can be anything.. if it is equal to 3 years or a day more, you will have to pay 5 year fee.

you are over complicating it by thinking more on it. its pretty straight forward.
