Hi All,
I was wondering if you can answer me a simple question. I applied for a british citizenship and was rejected because it is less than 6 years. When i initially look at the guide, it says 5 years but after several pages...you will see a small print that stated 5 years..you will become permanent resident and then i have to wait 12 more months. It is a bit ridicules.
Anyway, i was reject on July 2010. I asked them if i am eligible regulation 33 and just pay £100 to re-apply. They say no...i have to pay full amount.
My question is this. According to the regulation, the law came into force on april 6 2010. Why am i not eligible. They say that it would have been fine if i was rejected after september 2010.
Any advice? or do i just need to pay a full amount. Do we have a say?
