EC rejeceted

Post by hsmp_25 » Mon Aug 02, 2004 3:41 pm

I had applied for the EC at BHC Chennai.

The EC has been rejected, but I dont know the reason.

I'm devastated!

Is it worth reapplying? Or will it be rejected again?

Pls advise.

Hsmp 25,

Sori about the rejection

It is RARE that EC is rejected without a 'good' reason - ask for the reason why it was refused...

HSMP refusals tend to apply where there are insufficient funds to prove ability to maintain yourself and any depedaents without recourse to public funds...

I think you should find out why EC was refused
Where there is a will there is a way.

Sorry to hear that. There must be a reason given as Chess mentioned. Have you been interviewed? If yes, What went not good in that?

there was a post in the past saying that the chennai brit. counsulate kept the documents and returned the passports... is yours the same case ? If it is so then you need not call this as rejection. In case of rejection they give you a reason and also a paper(application) saying you have right to reappeal.

In accordance with the immigration rules as well as operational policy the Entry Clearance Officer will always notify you in writing of reasons for a refusal and whether any right of appeal exists (they do for HSMP EC). If you are saying this is not the case then request such from the ECO and failing that see the Entry Clearance Manager.
