rejected on basis of birth certificate

my hsmp was rejected due to the reason stated below
I sent a birth date certificate from office of chairman of town but that is all i have for a birth certificate from my country and not official regestered birth certificate they want but i also did sent a notarised passport copy which they are not explainig y they did not accept i am thinking of requesting a review please help wat points i should mention in review letter

I assume you were claiming points for age?

Did you request exceptional consideration, given that the only valid document you included was a copy of your passport?

Perhaps the HO is questioning the validity of the notary seal. Was it a clear copy?

Your best bet is probably to call the HO and see if you can speak with your caseworker, to get more information.

sorry to hear about rejection.
1.From which country did you applied? Becuase, they were asking notarised copies from authorities which are referenced by local british embassy.

2.Call the H.O and ask why they dont accept birth certificate and also ask them to suggest what kind of birth certificate they are expecting?

i did supply a clear notorised passport copy and i am currently residing in uk .
And this birth date certificate is the only proof of birth given to us in the town i was born

Does your birth certificate bears the necessary stamps and seal which are identifiable?

what is the exact reason that they mentioned in your refusal letter?

After a lot of effort i conatcted HO and he said ur passport was considered for exceptional case becuase u didnot fill the exceptional part section. Although i rember i ticked the exception case.

Now i had sumbimtted the review request saying that it is the only certificate i have and i have supported this by adding a notorised copy of passport.

My age certificate bears stamps of chairman town commitee and it states taht i was born this date and this statement is confirmed by the two local counsellors and one notable of that area.

I have been using this certificate through all my acedimic career.

When you indicated that you wanted exceptional consideration, did you give documentation of why you should have received such consideration (for instance, a letter from your district indicating that birth-date certificates are issued, but not official copies of proper birth certificates) ? A caseworker might find it difficult to believe that a district would not issue a full official birth certificate (or official copy thereof) - and the fact that you're in the UK and the documents might be in another country would probably not fly as sufficient grounds for exceptional consideration.

Sorry i forgot to mention that i dinnot requested the exceptional considertaion because i thought my birth certificate is valid. However i submitted a notorised copy of passport to support birth certificate.

Case worker said it is not a birth certificate but its birth date certificate because the title of certificate is Birth Date certificate.

sorry to hear about your rejection but i think it would have been avoided if you have taken time to read both the recently released caseworkers guidance and the HSMP Guidance itself.

If you are seeking exceptional consideration in any of the scoring areas, you have to tick the appropriate box and then EXPLAIN why you should qualify for exceptional consideration.

I did tick the exceptional considertaion but had not written any reason for that.

any chances of getting HSMP in review.

Unfortunately, it doesn't seem sufficient simply to tick the box for exceptional consideration, as one needs to make a compelling case for it (which you did not do). It can't hurt to request a review on the basis that you thought that the birth-date certificate was adequate for the purpose, but you shouldn't pin your expectations on that.

In the interim, if I were you, I would get an actual birth certificate (or your driving licence), in prep for a new submission with new evidence. And if your district of birth doesn't issue original birth certificates or official copies thereof (very odd, by the way), then they should issue you a letter to that effect, to buttress your case for exceptional consideration (if you do not otherwise have a full driving licence).

Thanks for ur quick replies.

I didnot write anything in the exceptional case because i considred that my Birth Certification is good enough.

Its original, Have clear stamps and clear sign, showing my name my fathers name and my birth date issued by the the head of towncommitee.

I thought this certificate will be enough and only incase of any more confirmation they will confirm my birth date from passport which i submitted.

Result is my Birth certificate was not considered saying that its Birth Date certificate and passport was not considered.

How could i know that my birth certificate in not enough for this as i have been using this till now.

But a birth-date certificate is not the same as a birth certificate, and you would have known this because the document does not say 'birth certificate' or 'certificate of live birth', issued by or on behalf of a department of public health; it does not matter that you've been passing this off as a birth certificate in the past, as your past representation of the document does not make it something other than what it is. And the caseworker is not required to look at your exceptional evidence if you do not give any compelling explanation as to why he should do so (and this position is emphasised in the guidance notes).

I'm not sure what sort of links to send you; all I can tell you is that your birth certificate is likely to be held by a department of public health (or dept of vital statistics), usually at the city or regional level where you were born. You want an official copy of the certificate of live birth - usually signed by obstetrician and/or hospital registrar. I'm not sure in which country you were born. My experience (I work in developing-country public health) is that official records are readily available in many developing countries going back a fair amount of time, so I cannot imagine that a more recent birth should pose difficulties in terms of documentation. Since I lost my birth certificate. I got a new one done from the municipal corporation of mumbai.

will my newly issued original birth certificate be sufficient?????

do i have put this as exceptional consideration and also provide other evidences... i dont even a driving license

Hi

My review application is also rejected. I have requested my family to get a new Birth Certificate from the town.

The problem is that there is no registrar of death and birth and the register is maintained by the Town Nazim (who is elected representative).

Will this certificate be accepted or i need a letter from him that Town Nazim is responsible for maintaining the record of death and Birth.

Could any one kindly send a sample of letter or any suggestion what to be included in letter.

Hi Nikkim!

you need to make sure that your original birth certificate is signed by the REGISTRAR
i got this as a reply from the HSMP team as even i had a query.

but when i called them they said a letter issued by the town nazim that hes responsible for regestring births and deaths will be enough with the birth certificate extracted from birth register
