Releiving letter!

Post by t0mmy » Wed Feb 01, 2012 4:11 pm

Hi folks,

Just read something about 'Releiving letter' - which needs to be submitted with ILR applications. Haven't heard this before. My scenario is this:

1. Got WorkPermit in Dec 2007 for Job A.
2. Tier 1 Visa issued in Sept 2008.
3. Left Job A in January 2009.
4. Started Job B in Feb 2009. left in March 2009.
5. Started job C in April 2009. Currently doing.

Do i need to submit any Releiving letters for any of the jobs.

Thanks.

So in my case, I had this:

Sponsored Work Permit for Job A in Nov 2005
Got FLR in March 2007
Left Job A in March 2007
Joined Job B in April 2007 - been there ever since.

So when I did my application, I submitted a Relieving Letter from the the company for Job A.

I also got letters from the HO stating that my Work Permit was transferred from Job A to Job B.

So ....

I would imagine, you need letters from Job A and Job B about you leaving and then a Letter from Job C that states your salary, SOC code and all that information
Also any paperwork you have from the Home Office about your transfers.

The letter I used and got Job A to send me was like this:

Thanks.
But I am bit confused now. Getting the letter from Company A who I left nearly 3 years ago is not possible. Also as I mentioned I switched my workpermit under company A to Tier 1 visa(formerly hsmp).
So the main question is: Applicants who have converted work permit to Tier 1 visa - do they need any releiving letters as they are not company tied?
