renewal of Indian Passport in Glasgow

Hello Friends,

I will be traveling to Glasgow in Jan 2014 end, and my Passport is Valid till Sep 2014. My work permit is till Jan 2015 end.

Can i renew my Indian Passport in Glasgow?

Also below are few other queries:

1. Whom should i contact in Glasgow for Indian Passport renewal.
2. Documents required for renewing Indian Passport in Glasgow, i want same indian address as currently on my indian passport.
3. How much time it will take to get the renewed Passport in Glasgow.
4. Renewed Passport will be valid for how much period.
5. What are the fees applicable.

There is no place or person or thing in Glasgow that can renew your Indian passport.

Passports can only be renewed at HCI London, or CGI Birmingham or CGI Edinburgh. But for passport renewals, they are very strict about jurisdiction. You can only renew passport if you live in the jurisdiction of the mission concerned. You can't pick and choose.

I think i had not mentioned properly my problem statement.

I have a valid work visa for Glasgow location in UK till Jan 2015.
Currently i am in India and my passport will expire in Sep 2014.
I will travel to Glasgow location in Jan 2014 end and will be there till my work permit period.Just wanted to check whether it is possible to get my indian passport renewed from Indian consulate in UK as it will expire in sep 2014 and i will still have valid work permit till Jan 2015?

The nearest place to Glasgow where you can renew your passport is CGI Edinburgh. Pronounced Edinburra, not Edinburg.

From Glasgow Buchanan Bus Station to Edinburgh Bus station it is a journey of about 1 hrs 30 mins. The fare is cheap if you use a bus company called Megabus.

I have studied in Edinburgh. It is a beautiful city. Catch the early bus and after submitting application, go out sightseeing.
