Request for Information Question.....

Post by marc9477 » Tue Jan 18, 2005 6:49 pm

Hi,
I applied for the HSMP on June 1.

I received a call from the agency I
used to submit my application(Using them may have been a mistake, but
it's too late now) that they were requiring further information. This
call was on December 20(approx).

My representative at the agency
asked my caseworker for an extension on the date the caseworker gave
her(the reason for this is because I was out of the UK for the
holidays, but I wasn't asked first)...the caseworker gave us an
extension until Feb. 10. I submitted the further information on
Dec.23. It was sent to my caseworker on Dec. 30. The visa agency has
told me, that in some cases, the caseworker will wait until the end of
the extension period to review any furhter information provided by the
applicant? Has anyone heard about this? Furthermore, how long does
it usually take for the caseworker to review further info? I am an
in-country applicant. Thanks for your help.

When my husband sent in additional info (as an in-country applicant), he had a decision within a week.

We didn't send it until the day before it was due -- so it arrived the day it was due. I have no idea if they review it as soon as it arrives or wait until it's due. My guess would be that they do it right away to get the case off their desk.

Hope that helps.
