Requesting my passport - HELP!

Dear all,

I am sure this query has been answered before, but any extra help is appreciated.

The Metropolitan Police has indicated I call UKBA and request my passport for 24 hours in order to be fingerprinted (they would like to see the passport where my family permit was stamped on upon arrival, not my second passport). Is there a phone number that you know I could call UKBA at and request it? How long does it normally take to actually get it in the post?

Call the European Contact Centre on 0151 672 5626 (the real number behind 0845 010 5200) and ask for the passport back. It can take up to 5 business days to get it back.

You will not need to send it back to UKBA until they ask for it to endorse the RC. They might not ask for it at all and issue your RC on a piece of paper.
