Restricted COS Query

Hi,

I am on Tier 2 General and switching my employer now. I have already applied for the new T2G with the new COS and had my biometrics taken last week.My wife who is my dependant at the minute also had her biometrics taken as part of being my dependant again.

Her company has NOW agreed to do her T2G. They are happy to apply Restricted COS within the end of this month(RCOS cycle). I was wondering can they apply her R COS while her application is being pending as my dependant at the home office ? I mean are they both related ? Do you need to show current visa to apply for the R COS ? Is her old visa still valid if at all they need to put something ?

I was thinking If she can get hold of R COS by July cycle, she can leave the country once she gets her passport and visa as my dependant and change it at the home country to T2G !!!
