retirement to the USA

Hi I am 65 my fiance is 61 and we wish to retire to the USA. we have a house sale happening here which will mean we will be able to buy a house outright in the USA, and we both have reasonable pensions meaning we will not be a burden on the USA. My eldest daughter is a Captain (soon to be Major) in the USAF and a citizen and can therefore sponsor me (direct,) My son in law is a US Naval Commander (retired)and is ex Princeton. my Fiance has a citizen sister in the USA who can sponsor her (family). We are getting so much conflicting information as to the best way to apply to go and live in the USA. Given our circumstances does anybody have any concrete advice as to the best approach , thank you !
