Returning t UK after long stay abroad

Goo day,
I am seeking advice on as i am confused , whether to apply for a new visa for my wife or she is ok to travel on her existing spouse visa (expiry 29th June 2016) after 8 months stay abroad. we moved to middle east 8 months ago for when i get an exciting job offer but know we will return to UK. we do own a house in UK.
If she is ok to travel on existing visa what sort of question we can expect at immigration and do we need to require any documents. One last can she travel back alone before me or she must have to accompany me.

I am british national and my wife is non-eu national. She was in on tier 2 since 2011 and we got married in 2013, end of 2013 we switched her tier 2 visa to Spouse visa valid for 2.5 years
We left UK nov last year for Short job assignment (my job)in
Middle east. Her spouse visa is still valid till june 2016

Absence for employment reasons ought to be ok, you should provide evidence of a subsisting relationship whilst you have been abroad.
