Returning back to Uk On tier 2 visa with less than a month to expire

Hi i will be returning from India on December 31st 2021 but my current tier 2 visa will expire on 14th January 2022. am i allowed to enter UK with only 2 Weeks left on my visa ?. i do have a new sponsorship to extend my visa and i have booked a slot on January 4th for biometrics. Please can some one please let me know if there will be any problem at immigration with only 2 weeks left on my current visa. Thanks in advance

Have you been working for your previous sponsor remotely? If yes your visa should be still valid and there shouldn't be any problem entering.
But how can you book a biometric appointment in the UK while you are still in India? Did you fill out the application form for those applying within the UK? You should come back first and then fill out the form.

Thanks for your reply . i am currently in UK. i will travel to india on 27th November. before leaving i will complete the skilled worked visa application and book appointment for bio metric in January

Your application will be withdrawn when you leave the UK. I would suggest postpone your travel or apply after you coming back.

For sure the application will be withdrawn when you leave the Common Travel Area. But it seems risky to attempt to return to the UK on Skilled worker permission for a job that has now finished. I would suggest either postpone the travel until the outcome of the application made in the UK, or travel as planned and make the new application in your home country. If the latter, you need to let your employer know.

You can't mix-and-match with your application, it needs to be done in the UK or in your home country, with you staying there while it is processed. Not a mixture.
