Right of Abode for my Daughter

Post by bbalaji1985 » Thu Jul 25, 2019 12:19 am

Hi,

I am going to apply ROA for my daughter. I am a british citizen (got it in 2016), my wife went to india for her delivery and we are blessed with a baby girl in Aug 2018. My wife was in Family of settled person visa (as my dependent) and her visa expired in Jan 2019. Both my wife and Daughter are in India Currently.

Kindly help me to get answers for my below questions:

1. I am planning to apply my Daughters ROA (She got her Indian Passport a month back) in India in Aug 2019. However after going through this forum, i found that i need to submit my Wife's Biometric card as well along with my Passport documents and other documents for our daughter ROA.

My question is , since my wife's "Family of Settled visa" got expired (I will be applying her Family of Dependent Visa after i get my daughters ROA since my wife visa will be issued for 30 days initially and she needs to collect her Biometric card in UK within 30 days), Is it ok if i submit my Wife's expired Biometric card or i dont need to submit her Biometric card and just her passport is sufficient along with my documents? Kindly confirm will there be any issues if i submit her expired Biometric card.

2. I will apply my Wife's Family of settled Visa (as like previously) once my Daughter get her ROA, since getting ROA is a long process as per the timelines mentioned in Gov.UK website. Kindly confirm am i doing the right thing.

Thanks in advance.

Thanks,
Balaji
