RoA (online) form queries

Post by mettam » Thu Dec 30, 2010 9:47 pm

I am filling out a Right of Abode form online.
One of the questions is:

"You stated that you had travelled outside your country of residence‚ excluding the UK130 in the last 10 years.

Please provide details of all your trips abroad in the last 10 years."

What is the UK130 ?
I have traveled to Canada and Australia in the past 10 years, are they part of the UK130 ?

Also

On the second page of the online form (form VAF7) it asks for my intended travel dates to the UK. The problem is I do not intend to travel to the UK any time soon I just want to renew my RoA certificate.

So how can I fill out this form if I do not have any travel dates ? Do I make up fictitious dates just to be able to complete the form ?

I can't see any digits such as 130 on the online form:
http://www.ukvisas.gov.uk/resources/en/ ... 03073/vaf7

It doesn't mean anything.

Rather than put in fictitious dates of travel why not leave that blank and include a note of explanation in Part 9? Your Right of Abode in the UK is not contingent on any intention to travel there at any particular time.

Mr Rusty that link isn't the online form, I think that is pdf of a RoA form which differs slightly from the actual online form. This information was sent to me by WorldBridge Services.
Please follow these links to see how I got to the RoA online form.
http://www.ukvisas.gov.uk/en/howtoapply ... ghtofabode
In this link if you goto the "Which visa application form should I use?"
I clicked on application online Which took me to http://www.visa4uk.fco.gov.uk/ApplyNow.aspx this is where I found the online form. If you go through the initial process and select the "Right of Abode" visa you will see where it asks about UK130.
BTW my current location is in USA California, I am an Australian Passport holder.

Please let me know what you have discovered and possibly what I may be doing wrong..

Sorry, I see what you mean. I started to fill out the online form (as Australian citizen Richard Ponting*) but I lost the will to live by the time I got to address details, so I'll take your word for it.

I still wouldn't worry about the '130', it's meaningless.

And as far as dates of travel is concerned, I accept you have to put something in to get past the first page, so why not just put a couple of months hence, and for departure the expiry date of your passport, as the cert. won't be valid beyond that anyway.

(* his joie de vivre would appear to be somewhat diminished at the moment as well)
