S S route from Italy. Please help

Has any one have any experience SS route from Italy.

Iam thinking to start SS route with my wife from Italy we currently hold a schengen visa.

I have work offer will rent a house and do all the necessary documents. Does any one know how long does it take to issue the residence card after we apply for?

And if we do it as self sufficient means. Will 20k be enough for family of four two kids me and my wife?

SS & then returning to which home memberstate?

If opting for self-sufficiency (rather than work or self-employment) be aware that that won't satisfy the UK requirements for SS.

UK plays hardball and only work/self-employment will do; and that's not to mention the UK's additional 'centre
of life' requirements.

After SS route returning back to U.K.
I have work offer in Italy and can register for seasonal jobs as a self employed.
My question is that how long the process might take to give her the residence card?

I have not happened to apply for a RC in Italy.
No doubt one or more members have done so.
