Royal Mail Special Delivery to Border Agency DH99

Post by aksnk » Wed Dec 10, 2008 1:17 pm

I sent amy tier-1 application by SD next day on Monday 08 dec. The royal mail tracker is still saying that the package is still proceeding through the network, although it should have bene rceived yesterday. I sent it to the PoBox 496, DH99 1wq address.

I called the Royal mail customer service a couple of time and each time the resposne was different - one person logged an investigation case which they say will take 24-48 hours... ther other person said that royal mail has a special arrangement with home office/visa/dvla and they are confident that it would have been delivered and it is just that home office takes some time to sign for the deliveries...

anyone with similar experience?

I dont think you are supposed to send it to a postbox using sd.

1st Page of tier 1 Application clearly states that

Please send or courier your application to the following address

UK Border Agency
Tier 1
PO Box 496
Millburngate House
Durham
DH99 1WQ

PO Box shoudnt be a problem as i have sent my application through royal mail SD to the above adress and it reached nextday morning.
I suggest you to follow up with the royal mail and get you case investigated.
