Royal Mail Tracking Query

Post by bhamblues » Tue Feb 07, 2012 4:06 pm

Hi,
I had posted my PSW Visa application for with passport on 3/02/2012 via special delivery. But when I tried to track it online, it says
"Your item has reached the delivery office and is out for delivery.
We can confirm that your item left the delivery office this morning and should arrive shortly if it hasn’t been delivered already"

The status hasnt changed for the past 2 days. When I tried contacting Royal Mail they said my post should have reached home office but sometimes it takes time to get updated on the Tracking system.

I'm worried.Anybody has similar experience with Royal Mail?

No But What Royal Mail said makes sense, best thing is call HO and confirm if they have received the package.

Make sure you quote the Special Delivery ref Number

Thanks.
Does home office have any special number for tracking incoming applications or do I have to call them on the general enquiry number.

I am facing the same issue :( I mailed my application on the 30th of March morning via special delivery. The lady at the post office mentioned that the package would be delivered on Monday.

I have been tracking the parcel and it states

"Your item has reached the delivery office and is out for delivery."

any idea on how we can confirm with the Home office on receipt of my application.

Any contact details would be appreciated

Thanks

sometimes the website is out of sync, the best possible thing to do is confirm with HO after a couple of days quoting the SD ref number. Royal Mail SD is reliable though but funny things do happen
