RR form correction of naturalisation certificate

Hi all, I became a british citizen 20 years ago under section 3. On my original certificate it was date 15 april 2005. I was 10 years old so no idea the exact date and neither does my mother.

I sent off an RR form.

I got issued a new certificate with corrected details that have come to light for me recently. I was expecting an endorsement however its a new cert.
However it is now a section 6 and no longer 3. And its dated 03 march 2005 now.

It also has a new ref number.

Have they got it wrong ?

I have been through a nightmare to get this corrected.
I do hope i don’t have to go through this again with them.
