Rule about absences during HSMP period

Hi there

I have read and re-read the guidance notes for the HSMP and the FLR and the ILR and I cannot find this information, does anyone know:

When I first applied for the HSMP in 2005 there was a rule that you would be able to apply for ILR after 4 years (it was 4 then), but that you couldn't spend more than 6 months in total outside the UK during that time. Now that the 4 years has changed to 5 years, is that still the same?

Hope someone can help!
