Salary paid by cheque

Post by rajeevanand » Sat Mar 03, 2007 2:54 pm

Hi

I'm planning to attempt 3rd time for an HSMP application.

The last time, one of the reason for rejection was that the HSMP team were unable to verify earnings for 6 months by looking at the bank statements.

Salaries for these months were paid by cheque. Hence, the reference on the bank statement was just sortcode of the bank who's cheque it was. Hence company name was not printed on the bank statements for those months. The last 6 months were ok as salary was paid by automatic credit and company name was provided as reference.

So, is it just sufficient to mention this in the covering letter or do they expect the company name to be printed on the bank statement.

Has anyone been in a similar situation ?

I think the main point here is that how U convince the caseworkers that the figure in your bank statement is salary from your company.

I believe the solution here is that to provide other evidence e.g.
Pay Slip, ITR (P60).

Prepare a letter having month wise salary transfer data. e.g. in tabular format describing Bank name, Account Number, title of transaction and get this signed by authorized person in your Finance/HR department.
