Same-sex couples can legally marry from midnight

At last we can rid the words 'civil partnership' and use spouse for both opposite and same-sex marriages, a long time overdue!

Without sounding controversial, i believe civil partnership was fine as it was.

This extension of marriage to cover same sex couple, and spouse to cover same sex couple, will cause enormous confusion to the developing minds of young children.

I do of course strongly object to discrimination of same sex couples in areas of tax for family and other social issues. When it comes to marriage, i am not entirely sure that this is something for society to be cheerful about. Time will tell.
