SAP ABAP Job market for 2+ Years Experiecne

Hi,
My Husband has 5+ years of excperience in Java/J2EE an we are planning to move to the UK on a Tier-1 Visa. I have 2+ years of expeience in SAP ABAP. and a total of 4 Years of IT experience.How is the job market for SAP ABAP in UK? Will i be able to find a job?

ABAP Market is not that bad...but you can come here and search ..you may get if you try hard....

It is difficult to get a job in ABAP here in the UK, even for someone with 5 years experience which an average ABAP job demands. Thats not you say, if you are determined, focus you efforts constantly without giving up, and with a little bit of luck you might eventually get in.

what might be the salary I can get if i am 5 yr exp abap?
I think for renewal i need atleast 55K per year to extend visa after 2 yrs....
since I got visa in June 2010 .....

Unfortunately £55k is quite impossible for 5yrs in ABAP....unless you go down the contracting route or get a high end job in London. The main issue here is 5yrs exp in a technical role usually does not demand such a high salary

As Ken quoted before, it is not easy to get 55K for a role with just 5 years exp in ABAP. Even the contracts are not easy to get since there is a lot of competition for contracts with people having more than 8 years of exp in ABAP.
The starters would be to look for a job that pays 35K if you are based outside London and around 40 K if you are inside London.....
