sar file inquiry

Can you please tell that as i understand when we make a request for sar file, the home office sends the information which they have so does the home office hold information when a person applies for visa overseas or is held by FCO or the relevant embassy of uk in that country and how such request can b made for that info and what sort of information we can get, i mean wil it give us details or landing and departure as well and is such request made to FCO and is like when we apply for visa the uk embassy pass on info to fco in uk n then we can get that info from there or directly from embassy . im akso going to apply for long residence based ilr

If you ask for all UKBA held records you will get all the UKBA held records. This will include the UKvisa information and any FCO information that is now part of the UKBA systems. Landing card info will also be available.

What type of long residency are you applying for 10 or 14 years?

My SAB file had no information about my visa (1997) or any record from the embassy whatsoever. It had the details of when I entered the country, though. Can't remember about landing card, I requested the file to check for different information, so didn't pay any attention to landing cards.
