Is a scanned copy of an Accommodation Letter acceptable?

Post by tramp » Tue Oct 24, 2006 6:11 pm

I might be jumping ahead of myself given that I have just sent in my application to the Home Office but I have realized that the accommodation letter might be the most important document one would produce for EC. So, is a scanned letter as good as the original?

What exactly are you applying for? That is, what sort of visa?

And indeed, what exactly do you mean by "accommodation letter"?

HSMP/Accommodation Arrangement

Post by tramp » Wed Oct 25, 2006 1:28 am

John,

HSMP. Apologize on two accounts - I think I posted this in the wrong forum. This should have been in the HSMP forum. Secondly, it really was an incomplete post.

My question is this: Is evidence of Accommodation Arrangement (a letter from someone you know in the UK stating that you can stay with them) that has been scanned, attached to an e-mail, and then printed out acceptable for Entry Clearance? In other words is a print-out of this letter acceptable?

Can you please move this post to the appropriate forum?

Regards,
T.

I have moved the topic here.

I don't think it matters what form the evidence will take. It just needs to be clear that you can live with the person concerned, and also make clear that the place will not be overcrowded as and when you move in.
