Schengen Visa - Accommodation Proof

Post by k_v_h » Sun Dec 29, 2013 5:27 pm

I am applying for Schengen Visa in French embassy. One of the requirement is to provide accommodation proof (hotel booking).

I am travelling with my wife and will be applying for her visa with my application. The accommodation proof has only my name on it but it states that accommodation is booked for 2 people (without mentioning my wife's name).

So my question is - Since my wife's name is not in the accommodation proof, will it be an issue in the visa process?

When my partner (non-EEA) applied for a similar visa for the Netherlands, our hotel booking also didn't have his name but it stated clearly that it was for 2 people. It wasn't an issue for the Dutch! I'm guessing you can explain to them if they ask. It would be best if you travelled to the embassy with your wife to submit the application (if possible)
