Schengen visa (French Embassy)

Hi,

I am planning to apply for Schengen visa to visit Paris as tourist.

Do I need to have longer (end date) travel insurance to boost my chances to get longer tourist visa?

I want a longer tourist so that I can later visit other EU cities.
